A native of Lake Mary, Florida, Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida. Her interest in the legal field began early, serving as a summer intern for Orange County’s Drug Court, Juvenile Court, and Veterans Court programs while still in high school. These experiences provided valuable insight into the judicial system and solidified her passion for a career in law.

Throughout her legal career, Laura has gained experience in a wide range of practice areas, including landlord-tenant and eviction matters, medical malpractice, insurance defense, personal injury, municipal and government representation, and civil litigation. She further broadened her legal experience while living in Idaho, where she worked for a trial defense law firm and assisted attorneys with complex litigation matters. Her diverse background allows her to adapt quickly to the varied needs of the firm’s clients and attorneys.

At Waugh PLLC, Laura applies her strong organizational skills, litigation support experience, and commitment to client service to assist with the firm’s broad practice areas. She takes pride in maintaining open communication, fostering positive client relationships, and helping clients navigate legal matters with confidence and professionalism.

Outside of the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, Connor, and their young daughter. They have three dogs and one cat. She is an active member of Discovery Church and values opportunities to serve her community, make memories with her family, and visit Disney whenever she can.
